Hacker group claims Chinese bid for stolen Novo data

Earlier this year, Novo Nordisk was hit by a high‑profile data breach in which a large amount of sensitive information was stolen. Now a hacker group claims that it was offered millions of dollars for the stolen data from a Chinese company – but instead published the information openly on the internet.

According to the Danish outlet Ingeniøren, the hacker group Fulcrumsec last week released 1.2 terabytes of stolen data via its own leak site. The leaked material is said to include internal AI models for drug development, confidential safety assessments of new medicines, as well as an extensive archive of microscope images and internal research questions.
