Jazz wins approval for potential $2bn blockbuster

After more than a decade with trastuzumab (Herceptin) as the backbone of HER2-targeted treatment for advanced gastric cancer, doctors in the US now have a new option.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ bispecific antibody Ziihera (zanidatamab) as a first-line treatment for HER2-positive advanced gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA).
