The collaboration between the two Danish companies began in November 2024 and gave Novo – which until yesterday was known as Novo Nordisk – the right to develop drug candidates in metabolic diseases using Ascendis’ TransCon platform. The technology is designed for controlled release of the active substance, meaning that the body receives the medication slowly and evenly rather than all at once.
