The number of companies in the life science sector has increased steadily over the past thirteen years, with the majority being small and medium-sized companies with a clear export focus. This is evident from a new report from the innovation agency Vinnova.

“Life science is a strategic growth engine for Sweden, with crucial importance for both health, exports and technological development. By following the development of the sector, Vinnova contributes to strengthening Sweden’s innovative power and future competitiveness in a changing world,” says Darja Isaksson, Director General of Vinnova, in a press comment.
