That is one of the main findings of Greater Copenhagen's ten-year report, produced by the Øresund Institute. According to the report, the region's economic growth has significantly outpaced both population and employment growth since 2016, a trend largely attributed to the expansion of Denmark's life sciences industry. Danish pharmaceutical production increased by 126 per cent between 2021 and 2024.
