BioArctic chair: “First, you need to know where you’re going”
He has been a researcher, doctor, investor and business leader. But when Eugen Steiner explains BioArctic’s success, he keeps coming back to the same thing: its vision. Speaking to Life Science Nordic, he discusses CEO recruitment, the founders’ determination and why Sweden risks falling behind in clinical research.

That is how Eugen Steiner, who has chaired BioArctic for just over three years, describes the company’s journey.
Hard work has been fundamental to its success story, but so has a great deal of luck. At the same time, he credits founders Lars Lannfelt and Pär Gellerfors and their clear vision of building a Swedish pharmaceutical company that develops, markets and takes its own products forward.
