The Alzheimer’s drug Leqembi, discovered by the Swedish company BioArctic and developed by Eisai, has now been launched in the United States as a subcutaneous treatment for both initiation and maintenance therapy
The subcutaneous injection Leqembi Iqlik was approved by the FDA in July as an initiation dose for early Alzheimer’s disease, and has been approved in the U.S. since last year for maintenance treatment.
One advantage of Leqembi Iqlik, highlighted by BioArctic, is that it enables at‑home administration.
