Chinese approval for Leqembi auto-injector

BioArctic’s partner Eisai has received approval in China for the subcutaneous auto-injector formulation of Leqembi as an initial treatment for early Alzheimer’s disease, according to a press release.

The once-weekly treatment can be administered at home, offering an alternative to intravenous infusions given every other week in a hospital or clinic.

China is the second country to approve the auto-injector for initiation therapy. Eisai plans to launch the treatment during its 2026 fiscal year, which ends on 31 March 2027.
