CordenPharma targets 500m injectable units with €80m expansion
CordenPharma is investing €80m to significantly expand its manufacturing capacity for sterile injectable medicines in Italy. Once completed, the site will be able to handle up to 500 million injectable units a year.
The expansion will add new facilities and production lines for the filling, finishing and packaging of products including pre-filled syringes, vials, cartridges and autoinjectors at the company’s Caponago site near Milan.
CordenPharma is a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) that develops and manufactures medicines for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
