The initiative is linked to the acquisition of U.S.-based Paragonix Technologies in 2024 for nearly SEK 5 billion. Paragonix develops, among other things, systems for heart, lung and kidney transplantation.
“The investments we want to make were built into the case, and they mainly concern two areas – expansion outside the U.S., primarily in Europe, but we are actually looking at China as well. It is a transplantation market that has been somewhat difficult to access, but we see a possible opening,” Mattias Perjos said in an interview with Nyhetsbyrån Direkt (Direkt News Agency).
