The Swedish energy

company Vattenfall plans to re-engineer its coal-fired power stations in Denmark so that the company can replace up to 724 000 tons of coal annually with biomass from 2018. That may save the atmosphere 1,5 million tons of CO2, a 27 percentage reduction, according to the company.

The plan, which Vattenfall

has dubbed Maxbio, will form a significant part of the energy concern's efforts to reach the goal of making its energy production in the Nordic region CO2-neutral by 2030.
