New CEO to Promedvi

Sigrun Axelsson has taken on the leadership of the Lund-based medtech company.

The company

develops and markets a functional vibrating balance board, for the use in the rehabilitation of people with neurological damage resulting from stroke or multiple sclerosis. The equipment is also used by top level athletes, as a training device.

Sigrun Axelssons

professional background includes the position as Vice President of the Medical Division at GCE, Europe’s leading gas-equipment company. She has also worked as senior project manager at Medeon Science Park in Malmö. Promedvi currently has three employees and the sales of last year amounted to SEK 5.5 million. The company sells mainly to markets in Sweden, France and Belgium, and aims for break-even this year.
